PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
Majority of today’s graduates lack critical workplace readiness skills required to enter the world of work and be successful. Employers expect graduates to hit the ground running in their first job while graduates expect employers to show them the ropes which leads to an expectation gap.
A lack of business exposure, limited knowledge and understanding of the business environment, lack of required soft skills are just some of the challenges facing many young graduates (especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds) resulting in the high unemployment rate of youth in South Africa today.
The AMAVA Talent Vulindlela Workplace Skills Programme is designed to empower students, graduates and young professionals with new information and skills to address the gaps between qualifications and the workplace in order to meet the expectations of the 21st century workplace. Our program is focused on enhancing the students and graduates’ knowledge and understanding of the work place, enhancing business skills and developing critical soft skills that provide a solid foundation to a successful career.
This is a critical intervention that will equip students with essential employability skills to successfully transition into employment, graduates with workplace success skills and young professionals with 21st century skills to bridge the expectation gap between graduates and employers.
