Networking is the art of building professional interactions and relationships of a business nature through a sustained and focused effort. It is an essential business skills that will open up new opportunities and take your career places if done purposefully and intentional.
Professional networking takes place in any situation, venue, and platform (both online and off line). It is a deliberate activity to build, reinforce and maintain relationships of trust with other people to further your career or business goals.
The purpose of the workshop is to help students and young professionals realise the importance of networking and to empower them with networking skills for the place of work including functions such as conferences. At the end of the session delegates would have developed confidence on how to position themselves as a brand, engage with confidence and analyse their networks.
The session will be conducted in a practical and interactive manner and includes a talk from a professional who has successfully networked in the place of work.
